Physios CPT β€” cold sequence (3 touches + WhatsApp variant)

Status: DRAFT β€” nothing sent. Recipient: Nicole (co-founder; RecoMed profile "Nicole Tracy-Faulmann") via admin@physioscpt.co.za (published on their contact page). Geron is the fallback recipient on the same address. Read strategy.md first β€” warm intro beats this whole sequence if one exists, and there are displacement + POPIA notes that govern sending. Evidence behind every claim: evidence-pack.md.

Voice: helpful specialist who noticed something, not an auditor grading their homework. Plain text only, no HTML, no images, no tracking pixels, one link max (the signature). Send from Daniel's own domain address. No prices anywhere in the drafts; scope talk stays [scope on call]. Client-facing language never names the stack or the tech (the words Wix, DNS, SSL, A record, RecoMed stay internal).

Pre-send ritual (every touch): re-verify the defect that morning (commands in evidence-pack.md appendix). If it's been fixed, STOP β€” switch to the fixed-defect opener in strategy.md. Update the PROSPECTS.md row on every send and every reply.

Touch 1 β€” day 0 (Tue–Thu, 09:00–11:00 SAST)

Subject: physioscpt.co.za

Hi Nicole

When someone types physioscpt.co.za into their phone without the www, on many networks they get a full-screen "your connection is not private" warning instead of your practice. I tried it a few times this week and hit the warning on most attempts. Your own links and bookmarks all use the www, which is why you've probably never seen it yourselves.

It's a leftover pointer from an old hosting setup. Whoever looks after your site can fix it in a few minutes once they know where to look.

I build and fix websites for Cape Town health practices. Want me to send over the details of the fix? No strings, it's a short email.

Daniel Slater danielslater.dev

Why this shape: observation β†’ problem β†’ single yes/no CTA (Mouse-Trap-adjacent). The subject is the domain itself: 1 "word", lowercase, reads like an internal IT note. The personalization IS the problem (skill rule), and giving the fix away is the trust move: it costs nothing, it's verifiable on her own phone in ten seconds, and it makes the sender the person who helped rather than the person who audited. The "you've probably never seen it" line pre-empts the works-fine-for-me objection before it forms.

Touch 2 β€” day 3–4 (different angle: the booking loop)

Subject: rebooking patients

Hi Nicole

Daniel here, the web developer who wrote about the security warning on your bare web address. That fix offer stands either way.

A separate thing I noticed: when a patient taps "book" on your site, they're handed to a general booking directory. It works, but it places them on a platform that also lists other physios, and the rebooking relationship ends up living there instead of with your practice. Physio is course-based care, so that returning-patient loop is the one most worth owning.

I rebuild practice sites so enquiries land directly with the practice, usually on WhatsApp, because that's where Cape Town patients actually reply. I've done a couple of before-and-after practice rebuilds recently and I'm happy to send one over so you can judge the difference in ten seconds.

Want the links?

Daniel danielslater.dev

Why: stands alone (she may not have read touch 1), adds ONE new value piece (owned rebooking funnel), and the proof offer is Daniel's real before/after preview pattern. Which pair to send on a yes is a strategy call β€” see strategy.md ("Which before/after to show"). Never promise a physioscpt preview; none exists. The directory is deliberately unnamed: no shaming their current choices, and no third-party brand fights.

Touch 3 β€” day 12–14 (breakup; final)

Subject: closing the loop

Hi Nicole

I've sent a couple of notes about physioscpt.co.za and haven't heard back, so I'll take it the timing's wrong and close the loop.

One thing before I go, whether or not we ever talk: that security warning only shows for people who leave the www off the address, so you and your team may never see it on your own devices. It's worth having whoever manages the site take a look.

If it's ever useful down the line, my standing offer is a free two-minute look at your site. I'll tell you straight what's worth keeping and what isn't, no report, no obligation. Otherwise, no hard feelings, and good luck to the four of you.

Daniel danielslater.dev

Why: the skill's breakup structure exactly β€” acknowledge, validate, declare it final, leave the door open β€” plus a genuinely useful parting insight (loss-aversion without pressure). It also plants rung β‘  of the ladder (the free look) as the standing re-entry point. Honor the breakup: no further outbound to this practice after this email.

WhatsApp-length variant of touch 1

For use ONLY if a WhatsApp-first approach is chosen (see strategy.md β€” email is the recommended first channel for cold; their 082 557 2311 is the practice line):

Hi Nicole β€” Daniel Slater, a web developer here in Cape Town. Quick heads-up: on many networks, typing physioscpt.co.za without the www shows patients a full-screen security warning instead of your site β€” it's an old hosting leftover that takes minutes to fix, and I'm happy to send your web person the details, no strings.

Follow-up logic (reply branches)

Reply Move
"Yes, send the fix" Send it same day, plain language ("there's an old record from your previous host still attached to the bare address β€” whoever has access to the site's domain settings deletes it; happy to walk them through it on a quick call"). No pitch in the fix email beyond the signature. Once they confirm it's fixed, one follow-up: congratulate + offer the free two-minute look.
"Want the before/after links" (touch 2) Send the chosen pair (strategy.md) + one line: "If you'd like, I'll do the same two-minute read on your site and tell you what's worth keeping β€” free, no report."
Any interest in going deeper Ladder discipline, stated explicitly, never an ambush: β‘  free 2-minute look (verbal, no deliverable) β†’ β‘‘ Signal Audit, named with its price up front when offered (price per biz/process/03-pricing-payments-discounts.md; deliberately not quoted in these drafts) β†’ β‘’ Repaint, [scope on call].
"We already have an agency" "That's good β€” they'll have the fix done in minutes. If you ever want a second pair of eyes on anything, the two-minute look stands." Nothing negative about the incumbent, ever (strategy.md).
"Not interested" / any opt-out signal Stop immediately, confirm in one line if a reply is warranted, log in PROSPECTS.md, never contact again.
Silence after touch 3 Done. Park the row in PROSPECTS.md.

Cadence source: skill data β€” day 0 / +3 / +12-ish with widening gaps, Tue–Thu, 09:00–11:00 prospect-local. Three touches, not five: small-practice owner, tiny inbox, displacement-sensitive context; overstaying reads as pushy and poisons a future warm path.
