Leachie — Therapist Launch Pitch · MASTER TEMPLATE (kitchen sink)
DRAFT — nothing here has been sent. This is the deliberately-overstuffed master: every idea from the 2026-07-29 brainstorm (passion/fear engine, seven sins, zeitgeist angles, Spring-deal pricing) woven into one Leachie-branded email, plus a modular block library and the follow-up sequence. The job now is to trim, not to add.
How to read the annotations:
⛔ GUARDRAIL— conflicts with a standing rule (product-marketing.md / cold-email craft). Trim or soften before anything sends.⚠️ VOICE— louder than the Leachie quiet-craftsman register; keep only if we're deliberately breaking voice for this campaign.✂ TRIM-FIRST— my suggestion for the first cut.[sin: X]/[angle: Y]— which emotional lever the block pulls, so trimming keeps the mix balanced.
Standing conflicts to resolve before send (flagged inline too):
- Cold-email craft rules (ed-psych pack): ~100-word bodies, no prices in a first touch, one CTA. This master violates all three by design — the trimmed send either honours those rules, or we decide this campaign is a different animal (warm list / landing page / pamphlet insert, where long-form is fine).
- Pricing — RESOLVED 2026-07-29, numbers rewritten. The brainstorm's invented R5,000 + R1,100/mo set is gone. This pack now uses the locked model (PRICING.md 🔒 + DECISIONS.md 2026-07-29): the advertised New site build R3,500 and the Maintain care plan R850/mo, with the founding/Spring 50% giving R1,750 + R425/mo for the first 12 months. The only pricing question still open is PRICING.md §8.1 — whether builds stay advertised as a fixed fee or move to hourly (R1 000/hr, min 1 hr). Until Daniel picks, this pack keeps the fixed fee. Don't reintroduce a "normal price" that isn't the list price.
- Proof framing: nadiapreview is "a working demonstration I built", never a client site. berleinpsych.com is a real client site and the name is cleared.
1 · Subject line bank
Pick one. The lowercase ones follow the cold-email craft rules; the others are for a warm list or a landing page headline.
| # | Subject | Lever |
|---|---|---|
| S1 | Crossing "Website" off your launch checklist (by this Friday?) | sloth + urgency — the brainstorm original |

| S4 | Your practice, fully booked — before the paperwork's even done | [sin: gluttony/greed] ⚠️ VOICE |
| S5 | The one launch task you can hand to someone else this week | [sin: sloth] |
| S6 | You didn't train for six years to look like a hobbyist online | [sin: pride] ⚠️ VOICE — strong, maybe follow-up only |

[angle: directory saturation] |
| S8 | Open your doors online in 5 days — half price until 30 September | pricing-led ⛔ GUARDRAIL (price in subject, first touch) |
| S9 | while you wait for your practice number |
timing-empathy, internal-looking |
| S10 | What the fully-booked practices did differently online | [sin: envy] |
2 · THE MASTER EMAIL
Every section is labelled. The final email keeps maybe a third of this.
A — Opening: congratulate + name the moment
Hi [Therapist Name],
First off — congratulations on taking the leap into private practice. It's a big, brave step, and it's the right time to take it.
Between HPCSA registration, your practice number, credentialing, malpractice insurance, and finding rooms, your to-do list is massive right now. Somewhere on that list, probably near the bottom, is one word: "website."
Notes: SA-localised the checklist (HPCSA, practice number, rooms) — the brainstorm's "licensing, credentialing" was US-flavoured. Verify HPCSA/credentialing wording with a real therapist before send.
B — The fear block: what a delayed or amateur launch costs [fear: pain]
Here's the thing nobody tells you about that word: it's quietly the most expensive item on the list to get wrong.
The biggest risk to a new practice isn't a bad website — it's delayed launch momentum. Every week spent fighting a clunky Squarespace template or a confusing WordPress plugin is another week of empty slots and zero revenue, while your rent and insurance run anyway.
And when the site finally limps out the door? A glitchy, amateur page can quietly turn away your very first would-be clients before they ever book a consultation. You'll never know they came and left. ✂ TRIM-FIRST (last sentence — strong but borders on scare tactics; guardrail says keep fear grounded)
You didn't spend six years earning your degrees to look like a hobbyist online. [sin: pride] ⚠️ VOICE
C — The zeitgeist block: the world your practice is launching into [angle: all four]
Pick ONE of these for the trimmed email. All four included so we can choose.
C1 · Digital-first vetting (strongest for launch-stage — recommend keeping this one)
The way clients find a therapist has changed. Word-of-mouth still starts the journey — but even a warm referral from a GP or a friend now ends the same way: they Google your name before they call. What they find in those ten seconds decides whether the referral survives. A dated site — or no site — and the referral quietly dies on Google.
C2 · Borderless practice
And your practice isn't confined to your suburb anymore. Since online therapy became permanent, a well-presented South African therapist can see clients in Johannesburg from Cape Town — or clients in London paying in pounds. ⛔ GUARDRAIL — only claim this if the platform genuinely supports it (bookings across timezones, intl payments); verify before send.
C3 · Cash-first, private-pay shift
Medical-aid admin is becoming a full-time, unpaid job — and the practices earning best are shifting to private-pay, cash-first models. That only works if your online presence positions you as the premium choice: clients pay full rate upfront for a therapist who presents like a specialist.
C4 · Directory saturation
The old answer — a row on a therapist directory — is finished. Your listing sits on page 15, identical to two hundred competitors, renting attention you never own. A directory row makes your expertise a commodity. Your own site makes it a practice.
D — The turn: introduce Leachie [hope: the bridge]
This is what I do. I'm Daniel — I run Leachie, a small Cape Town studio that builds websites for health practices. I built a system specifically for therapists at exactly your stage: it gets your professional digital doors open in days, not months, and it's designed so the site starts working for the practice from day one.
Not a template. Not a directory row. A fast, calm, genuinely yours website — the kind that makes a parent or a GP think "this is the real thing" in those ten Google seconds.
Notes: "lightning-fast, premium, high-converting machine" from the brainstorm all dropped here — ⚠️ VOICE (hype). "Fast, calm, genuinely yours" is the Leachie register. Reinstate the louder line if the trimmed version tests flat.
E — How we protect your launch [shield framing]
Here's how we protect your launch:
- Zero tech stress. We handle the whole thing — design, copy layout, and the technical launch — in 3–5 days. You approve; we build.
- Edit it yourself, instantly. Change your bio, your hours, your fees, the medical aids you accept — click, type, save. No coding, no waiting for a web person, no per-change invoices.
- Built to grow with you. Right now you need to open your doors. When you're ready for online bookings, or to be found on Google by "therapist [suburb]", the same site expands — nothing gets thrown away and rebuilt.
- A person on the other end. When something needs doing, you message me — not a ticket queue. [differentiator — from product-marketing.md]
- Your data stays yours. Enquiries land in your inbox, handled the way a health practice must handle them (POPIA-aware from day one). You own the site, the domain, everything — month-to-month, no lock-in. [differentiator + objection pre-empt: "what if you disappear?"]
Notes: "dominate local SEO" from the brainstorm → "be found on Google by 'therapist [suburb]'" — same promise, quiet register, uses customer language.
F — The passion block: what this actually buys you [passion: gain]
What does that add up to? While other new therapists are still wrestling with templates, you're the one whose name comes back clean and confident in a search. [sin: envy]
Every enquiry your site captures compounds: one client who stays a few months is worth many times what the website costs — and every open slot it helps fill is money that was otherwise left on the table. [sin: greed]
And further out: a calendar filled with your ideal clients — the work you trained for — with the freedom to set your own hours, take Friday afternoons off, and build a practice that serves your life rather than the other way around. [sin: lust] ✂ TRIM-FIRST (beautiful but long; the freedom line in section H covers it)
Some of our practices end up with the opposite problem: a waiting list long enough that they raise their rates. [sin: gluttony] ⛔ GUARDRAIL — "some of our practices" invents a track record we don't have (pre-revenue). Cut, or rewrite as "the goal is the opposite problem: …".
You've also earned the right to stop giving away a cut of your income to platforms, clinics, and middlemen who did none of the training. Your site, your clients, your full fee. [sin: wrath] ⚠️ VOICE — angry register; keep only for the "leaving a clinic" segment of the list.
G — Pricing + the Spring deal [greed + urgency]
⛔ GUARDRAIL — no prices in a cold first touch (craft rules). This block is for the follow-up, the landing page, or a warm list. Numbers are the locked ones (see header conflict #2) — don't improvise them.
The list price is R3,500 to build and launch, then R850/month — which covers hosting, your domain, security and performance checks, the edit-it-yourself system, and an hour of my time every month for whatever you need doing. An all-inclusive tech department, for less than the price of one session a month.
Until 30 September, launching therapists get the Spring Launch Deal — half price on both, for your whole first year:
List Spring deal Build + launch R3,500 R1,750 Monthly (first year) R850 R425 First-year total R13,700 R6,850 That's R6,850 you keep in year one — capital that furnishes a room, covers a month or two of rooms, or simply stays in your pocket while your caseload builds.
And the maths from there is simple: if the site brings you one client a month, it has paid for itself — a single session in South Africa runs R1,100–R1,900, and R425/month is less than half of the cheapest one.
After the first year it's the standard R850/month, month-to-month, cancel any time.
Scarcity line (optional): "Because we limit how many sites we build per week, the Spring deal is strictly limited to therapists who launch before 30 September." ⛔ GUARDRAIL — only true if we actually enforce a weekly cap. State it only if real.
H — Close + CTA
Three CTA strengths — pick one, never stack them:
H1 · The Friday close (brainstorm original — assumptive, urgent)
We handle the digital side so you can spend this week setting up your rooms, meeting your first clients, and stepping into actually being your own boss.
Do you have 5 minutes this week for a quick chat — to see if we can have your site live by Friday?
H2 · The free-look ladder (craft-compliant, matches the ed-psych pack)
If you're weighing up how to handle the website, here's a free, no-obligation starting point: reply "yes" and I'll send you a two-minute rundown of what a launch-ready site for your practice would look like — what matters now, and what can safely wait.
H3 · The proof-first close
Rather than take my word for it, look at two minutes of evidence: berleinpsych.com — a psychology practice we built from scratch — and nadiapreview.danielslater.dev, a working demonstration I built showing a practice site before-and-after. If you'd like yours to look like the "after," reply and we'll talk.
I — Sign-off
Warm regards,
Daniel Slater Leachie — websites for practices leachie.com · [daniel_contact]
Notes: descriptor "websites for practices" is provisional — check against the locked
brand set (leachie-rebrand/brand/LOCKED/README.md) and the pamphlet's own strapline
before send. Sign-off assumes email; trim for WhatsApp.
J — P.S. bank (one only; the P.S. is the second-most-read line)
- P.S.-1 [urgency]: The Spring deal ends 30 September — after that it's full price, no exceptions. If your launch is October, still reply now; the deal applies to sites booked before the deadline. ⛔ GUARDRAIL — decide the booking rule before promising it.
- P.S.-2 [sloth]: The whole process asks about an hour of your time, total. We do the rest.
- P.S.-3 [pride]: Your site will look like you — your words, your photos, your register — not a template with your name dropped in.
- P.S.-4 [vetting angle]: Try it now: Google a therapist you respect, then Google yourself. That gap is what we close.
3 · Modular block library (swap-ins not used above)
Sins written out in full — the brainstorm originals, kept verbatim for reference. Most are ⚠️ VOICE at full strength; the master email above uses domesticated versions.
- Pride: "You didn't spend years earning your degrees to look like a hobbyist online. Your custom site will reflect the elite, clinical standard of your work from day one, commanding instant authority from the moment a colleague refers a client to you."
- Greed: "Every open slot in your calendar is money left on the table… fill your book fast and keep every single cent of your R1,400+ session fees."
- Lust: "Imagine waking up to a calendar filled only with your ideal, high-breakthrough clients, with the absolute freedom to set your own hours, take Friday afternoons off, and build a practice that serves your life, not the other way around."
- Envy: "While other local therapists are stuck fighting over crumbs on outdated directories, your modern site positions you as the definitive go-to specialist in your suburb. Let them wonder how your waiting list filled up so fast."
- Gluttony: "…a flood of constant inquiries, an overflowing waiting list that lets you confidently raise your rates whenever you want."
- Wrath: "Stop letting corporate clinics or exploitative platforms take a massive cut of your hard-earned revenue. Break free, reclaim your clinical independence."
- Sloth: "Starting a practice is hard enough. Sit back, focus on your office setup, and let us hand you a fully functioning, professional website on a silver platter by Friday."
Segment variants worth drafting once the master is trimmed:
- Leaving-a-clinic therapist → lead Wrath + Greed (C3 zeitgeist).
- Fresh graduate / first practice → lead Sloth + fear-of-delay (this master's default).
- Established therapist going private-pay → lead Pride + C3, skip the launch-checklist frame entirely.
- Niche variants (CBT / trauma / couples / ed-psych) — one specificity line each;
ed-psych already has its own pack (
biz/outbound/ed-psych/) — don't double-send to that cluster.
4 · Follow-up sequence
F1 — Day +4, same thread (graceful, one new angle, then out)
Hi [Name],
One last thought, then I'll leave you in peace. Whatever you decide about the website, decide it early — it's the one launch task where waiting quietly costs money, because every referral you earn in your first months gets Googled before it gets booked.
The before-and-after again, if useful: [proof links]. The free two-minute rundown stands whenever you want it — and if the timing's wrong, no hard feelings; this is my last note.
Daniel
F2 — Deadline approach (mid-September), warm/engaged prospects only
Hi [Name],
A quick heads-up rather than a pitch: the Spring deal (half-price build, R425/month for your first year) closes on 30 September. After that the same site is R3,500 + R850/month — I hold the deadline, because the therapists who took the deal took it in good faith.
If launching this spring is on your mind, this week is the cheap week to say so.
F3 — Post-deadline transition (October), per the brainstorm's tactical advice: hold the price, change the promotion. Sketch: "Summer Practice Accelerator" — the R3,500 build fee waived entirely, full R850/month from day one (12 months at R850 = R10,200, so the waived build is the whole discount and the recurring price is protected). Keeps the pipeline moving without marking the brand down. (Sketch only — don't draft until the Spring numbers are in.)
5 · Trim checklist (when we cut this down)
- Decide the delivery surface first — cold email (≈100 words, no prices, one CTA) vs warm list / landing page / pamphlet insert (long-form OK). The surface decides which two-thirds dies.
- Keep one zeitgeist block (recommend C1), two sins max (recommend Sloth + Pride for launch-stage), one CTA, one P.S.
- Resolve the ⛔ GUARDRAIL flags — especially invented track record (F-block), the scarcity cap, price-in-first-touch, and the borderless claim.
- Pricing is settled (R3,500 + R850/month list; R1,750 + R425 on the Spring deal) — the one open question is PRICING.md §8.1: do we keep advertising a fixed build fee or move to hourly (R1 000/hr, min 1 hr)? Keep the fixed fee until Daniel says otherwise, and re-check the totals in block G if it changes.
- Read it aloud in the Leachie voice — anything that sounds like a webinar funnel guy, cut or quieten.
